The author training!
****Update –I would like to thank all those who have visited this blog over the years. It has served its purpose but I have outgrown it with multiple blogs all over the place. Therefore I am shutting down new posted articles here and have now incorporated all into one self hosted site at mardianinmotion.com. It has all the articles on this site, plus new material I will post and exciting changes to come.
But don’t worry faithful readers, nothing changes except new additions for your viewing and educational pleasure. The new site is now my Personal Training, Therapy and Nutrition Blog and the information is for clients looking to push their body to peak performance, getting into serious physical shape and seeking cutting edge nutritional advise. It’s also for those who need to manage pain levels through muscular imbalances, accidents or injuries!
Take the time to visit mardianinmotion.com and bookmark it, then visit often.

Business Background:
My company, Pro Health Consulting Services was established in 2000 and has become one of the South Okanagan BC’s elite health and fitness companies. I offer services such as a Personal Training, Boxercise, Kettlebells, Nutrition, Body Toning, Pain/Injury Therapy and much more.
A good portion of my service is based on travel, and I cover areas including Oliver, Osoyoos, and Penticton. For some, home visits are the only option and I tailor programs to suit the client. A good fitness program should not have to entail a lot of equipment, as functional training can be both vigorous and highly effective at toning, building muscle and losing weight.
Serious Results
I am also lead fitness instructor at the Oliver, BC Parks and Recreation Department, where I conduct nine fitness classes weekly, host nutrition seminars, children’s exercise classes, Boxercise, adult Bootcamp, senior/beginner circuit training and personal training. Additionally, I instruct at the Cactus Tree Inn Gym in Oliver and Vengeance Gym and the Sonora Community Centre in Osoyoos.
Vengeance Fitness Gym – Osoyoos B.C.
I manage the Pro Health Therapy Clinic in Osoyoos, British Columbia (Vengeance Gym building), where I apply “Myoskeletal Therapy, Muscle Balance and Trigger Point Therapies, as well as Active Isolated Stretching, and Therapeutic exercises.

Professional Training
I am a graduate of the National Endurance and Sports Training Association (NESTA-CPT). I have a combined 26 years of experience as a Certified Personal Trainer, competitive powerlifter, bodybuilder, martial arts training, amateur wrestling and boxing.
I understand what it takes to get results, because my training comes not only from textbooks, but also from practical knowledge gained through much time and experience of multiple hundreds of clients. I have also led group fitness, weight training, boxercise, functional training and Bootcamp sessions.
National Endurance & Sports Trainers Association
I have devoted my professional endeavors to promoting, teaching, motivating, and partnering with people and professional organizations to experience the benefits of healthy exercise and eating. This has provided me with experience in functional, post rehab, core stability-agility, sports specific training, and weight loss/gain exercise prescription.
My training offers the support, motivation and inspiration needed to achieve success with exercise goals, whether it be in the privacy of my office, outdoors, at your home or one of the four fitness facilities in Oliver/Osoyoos where I train clients with custom routines tailored to their unique needs and demands.
I firmly believe that sound nutritional guidance is crucial to healthy lifestyle changes and integrate that in my personal training sessions. One size does not fit all, that’s why having individual instruction is vital to success. My dietary approach is never based on fad diets, but rather espouses natural foods which are low calorie by nature. To ensure success, I guide my clients to keep this dietary change nutrient dense, high in enzymes, fiber, beneficial fats and other co-factors, which are extremely important to long term good health.
Stunning Detail & Health
As a Kinesiology Specialist,I apply the study of human movement to enhance corrective training techniques, muscle imbalances and muscle recruitment patterns. My rehabilitation training and therapies are effective for the management of back, shoulder, neck and knee pain and injuries. It includes Post-Rehab Orthopedic Exercise, therapeutic flexibility, stress management, industrial fitness, Workers Compensation and ICBC claims. As such, I bridge the divide between rehabilitation and fitness.
International Fitness Professionals Association
The future of fitness now includes a powerful marriage between the the fitness community and bodywork therapists. I am a Myoskeletal Therapist qualified in deep tissue, assisted stretching, joint mobilization, and muscle strengthening techniques, as well as myoskeletal zone therapy and neuro-receptor routines from the Freedom From Pain Institute under Dr. Erik Dalton. By determining if pain originates from muscles, ligaments, joint capsules, or nerve impingement, these techniques assist the body in correcting complex conditions of neck, scapula, back, and visceral pain.
Freedom From Pain Institute
As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (R.H.N.), I received training with a strong practical and clinical approach to holistic health, with the aim of preventing disease through natural means from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (C.S.N.N.). And as a member of the C.S.N.N. Alumni, I receive consistent schooling on wellness and nutrition, proposed legislative changes and verification of a strong code of ethics.
Canadian School of Natural Nutrition
I specialize in writing on health intelligence and wellness issues and have been featured in the Kitchener/Waterloo Record, Cambridge Times, Okanagan Sun, Oliver Chronicle, Castanet.net and North of Fifty.
At the moment, I am a contributing writer for the Parks and Recreation Department in Oliver, BC, where I give input into fitness and nutrition articles.
I also write a bi-weekly wellness column for the Oliver Chronicle and the Osoyoos Times, and contribute regularly to a column titled, “Lifestyle Wise,” on the news site Castanet.

Well rounded experience, with a lot of information! It’s always best to include client feedback, as head knowledge alone does not make a good trainer or health practitioner. You sir, seem to strike a great balance. Refreshing!
